Pot 2 has Spain, Peru, Switzerland, England, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay, and Croatia. Pot 3 has Denmark, Iceland, Costa Rica, Sweden, Tunisia, Egypt, Senegal, and Iran. Lastly, Pot 4 has Serbia, Nigeria, Australia, Japan, Morocco, Panama, South Korea, and Saudi Arabia.

These Pots were be divided as each country is placed in eight four-team groups. Each group will play at least three games, with the two top countries from each group advancing to round 2. The World Cup tournament will run from June 14 to July 15 in Russia.
