Critically-acclaimed R&B singer-songwriter Miguel was set to release his fourth studio album, War & Leisure on Friday, December 1, 2017. However, there was an early release online, so you can listen to songs from the album right now and I’m here to tell you how…
But before you stream War & Leisure, here’s a little background on the album: Miguel’s fourth studio record is reportedly more politically-connected with his audience compared to his previous albums. Miguel spoke with Billboard magazine and reflected upon the nature of War & Leisure.
“War & Leisure has political undertones, because that’s what life feels like right now,” Miguel said. “This album is intentionally about the ethos right now, that we are right in the middle of all this. We’re trying to flourish in the middle of all this. We all wake up, and it’s time to be creative and amazing and positive and all the things that we’re supposed to be when you look on Instagram, but then we’re dealing with these same problems, this injustice, wars between politicians with egos. Like, 140 characters are going to get us into a war right now?”
Miguel will soon take War & Leisure on the road, and you can find out about his upcoming concerts when you click right here.
Enough talking! Let’s get to Miguel’s music…
