Commissioner Shane McMahon is scheduled to open up tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live. After a very disappointing night at Survivor Series, McMahon will need to say something special to raise the spirits of the blue brand. I’m sure Shane will experience plenty of interruptions as he explains Team SmackDown‘s defeat to the WWE Universe.
Tonight’s show was originally scheduled to be headlined by a WWE Championship rematch between “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles and “The Modern Day Maharaja” Jinder Mahal. But now that match appears to be off the table, at least for tonight, as WWE.com’s official preview for tonight’s show doesn’t mention a match between Styles or Mahal once. They just ask the fans whether or not Mahal and Styles will cross paths after the epic Survivor Series encounter between “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar and “The Phenomenal” WWE Champion.
What’s next for WWE United States Champion “The Lone Wolf” Baron Corbin as he mowed through The Miz at Survivor Series? The same could be asked about “The Queen” Charlotte Flair who made Alexa Bliss tap out on Sunday. Both champions will be hungry for competition tonight on a new episode of SmackDown Live.
