Gena Richardson, 58, is the seventh woman to come forward with sexual misconduct allegations against Senate candidate Roy Moore. Richardson claims that Moore had forcefully kissed her while on a date in 1977 just before or after she turned 18-years-old. She said the kiss happened in a dark parking lot and described it as “forceful,” “unwanted,” and “scary.”
Another woman came out with sexual misconduct allegations against Roger Moore on Thursday. Tina Johnson became the sixth person to come with accusations of sexual misconduct, claiming that Moore grabbed her bottocks after he had finished signing custody papers for her 12-year-old son.
More and more women are coming with allegations against Roy Moore. Here’s a look at the latest allegation…
What Are Gena Richardson’s Allegations?
Richardson said she was approached by Moore while she worked at a men’s department store of Sears. At the time, she was a high school senior. She shared her first memory of Moore, as a man who approached her at work, and introduced himself.
“He said, ‘You can just call me Roy,’ ” said Richardson recounting on her first experience meeting Moore, who was a 30-year-old local attorney.
At the time, Moore was allegedly building a reputation of pursuing teenage girls at the mall in Gadsden, Alabama. One store manager reportedly told new hires to “watch out for this guy,” regarding Moore and his behavior.
She claims that Moore asked for her phone number and where she went to school. She didn’t give her phone number to Moore and informed him that her father is a Southern Baptist preacher and wouldn’t approve. But then a few days later in trigonometry class at Gadsden High School, she was summoned to the principal’s office from via intercom. She had a phone call, which turned out to be from Roy Moore.
“I said ‘Hello?'” Richardson recalls. “And the male on the other line said, ‘Gena, this is Roy Moore.’ I was like, ‘What?!’ He said, ‘What are you doing?’ I said, ‘I’m in trig class.’ ”
Richardson claims that Moore asked her out once again during that phone call. She denied him once more, but Moore returned to her job with yet another proposition. She finally agreed, feeling both nervous and flattered.
After Richardson got off work, she met Moore in a movie theater in the mall. Towards the end of the date, he drove to her car in a dark parking lot behind Sears. He then “forcefully” kissed Richardson, which left her scared.
Richard said, “I never wanted to see him again.”
