After two and a half movies (Batman v. Superman, Suicide Squad, and Justice League), it appears as though Ben Affleck is already planning his way out of the cape and cowl.
Affleck was originally supposed to write and direct the first solo-Batman movie in the DCEU but now his involvement in the film at all is in question.
via USA Today:
The new Batman movie being developed by Matt Reeves (War for the Planet of the Apes) is “something I’m contemplating,” says Affleck, who originally was tapped to direct. “You don’t do it forever, so I want to find a graceful and cool way to segue out of it.”
While Justice League appears as though it’s going to be a bigger critical success then Batman v. Superman was, the demand of playing Batman has clearly weighed on Affleck.
