Nelson is represented by Gloria Allred is the case against Roy Moore, alleging that he sexually assaulted Nelson while she was a 16-year-old waitress.

What Did Beverly Young Nelson Say?

Nelson spoke a press conference on November 13, 2017, in Madison, New York. She was born in California, but met Moore in an Alabama restaurant. At the time, Moore was a district attorney, and was a regular at the restaurant, Old Hickory House, where Nelson worked. She claims that she met Moore, when she was 15 or 16 years old.

She said that Moore was a regular at the Old Hickory House restaurant and would often compliment her on her looks. But Nelson wasn’t interested; she didn’t want to get “with a man who’s twice my age.”

The 16-year-old waitress brought her year book to work one day, and Moore insisted on signing it. In the note, she claims he called her a “beautiful girl.” The note ends with the words “Love, Roy Moore, D.A.”

On the night of the alleged sexual assault, Nelson said she had just finished work when Moore offered her a ride home. But she said, he didn’t drove her home that night. Instead, he allegedly drove his vehicle to the back of the restaurant between the dumpsters.

“I tried to open my car door to leave, but he reached over and locked it so I could not get out,” she described. “I tried fighting him off, while yelling at him to stop, but instead of stopping be began squeezing my neck attempting to force my head onto his crotch. I continued to struggle. I was determined that I was not going to allow him to force me to have sex with him. I was terrified. He was also trying to pull my shirt off. I thought he was going to rape me. I was twisting and struggling and begging him to stop. I had tears running down my face.”

Nelson claims that Moore told her that nobody would believe her story if she ever reports the alleged sexual assault. She claims that he then pushed her out of the vehicle.

“It was late, it was dark and I didn’t say anything to him as to what occurred,” Young said regarding not telling her boyfriend (or anyone) about the incident.. “When I got home, I went donato my room and the following morning my neck was black and blue and purple. In the days following I covered the bruises on my neck with makeup. I did not tell anyone what happened. I was scared.”

She said that she quit her job at as a waitress the Old Hickory House the very next day.

Nelson’s lawyer, Gloria Allred, said that her client is willing to testify under oath.

How did Roy Moore respond to the allegations?

Roy Moore has flatly denied all allegations of sexual misconduct of minors levied against him. He calls Gloria Allred’s a “sensationalist” who was “leading a witch hunt” against him.

Moore released a statement saying, “We’ve said this before and well say it again: Judge Moore is an innocent man and has never had any sexual misconduct with anyone.”

Moore has said that all of the allegations relating to sexual misconduct weighed against is a “desperate attack” by Democrats trying to ruin his campaign for the Senate. He called the allegations “fake news” and asserted that the women must have been paid off to tell lies in order to derail his campaign ahead of the December 12 special Senate election.

“These allegations are completely false and are a desperate political attack by the National Democrat Party and the Washington Post on this campaign,” he said in a statement. “If any of these allegations were true, they would have been made public long before now.”

On Sunday, November 12, Moore threatened to sue The Washington Post over the allegations published in their paper…

“The Washington Post published another attack on my character and reputation because they are desperate to stop my political campaign,” he said during a campaign speech. “These attacks said I was with a minor child and are false and untrue — and for which they will be sued.”

One woman named Leigh Corfman said that Roy Moore initiated a sexual encounter when she was only 14-years-old. She broke the story with The Washington Post on November 9, claiming that Moore approached her outside a courtroom in Etowah County, Alabama. At the time, Moore was 32 years old, and Corfman claims that he gave her his phone number.

Corfman claims that she went on a date with Moore only a few days after she received his phone number. She said that they kissed on their first date. However, on the second date, she said that Moore touched her over her bra and underwear, and then placed her hand over his underwear, where she could feel his erect penis.

“I wasn’t ready for that,” she told The Post. “I had never put my hand on a man’s penis, much less an erect one.”

She also claims that Moore gave her alcohol during their second encounter. At the time, alcohol was illegal for all those under the age of 19. Corfman was only 14-years-old when she alleges that Moore provided her alcohol and initiated a sexual encounter.

“I wanted it over with — I wanted out,” she told the newspaper. “Please just get this over with. Whatever this is, just get it over.”

Corfman said that Moore then took her home, calling him “charming and smiley.”
