Mike & Mike, the sports-talk radio show namesake of Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic, is coming to an end on November 17, 2017, with Trey Wingo taking Greenberg’s role on the show. To help give the show its proper goodbye, let’s look at Greenberg’s career as a sportscaster, where you’ll find that he actually started his job quite early, with quite an extensive resume.
Mike Greenberg Net Worth 2017: $6 Million
Mike Greenberg, the longtime ESPN radio host, has a current net worth of approximately $6 million.
The Early Years
Greenberg started his career while at school, working as a sports anchor at Chicago’s WMAQ-AM while studying at Northwestern University. While in this role, he covered many big sports events like the Super Bowl and the World Series. During this time, he also wrote a weekly column for the Copley News Service.
1996-2005
After this period, he went to work for SportsChannel Chicago and Chicagoland television, eventually moving onto ESPN in 1996, for whom he hosted ESPNEWS and was the radio host for ESPN radio with Mike Golic. The latter show proved popular enough that it was moved to ESPN2 in 2005.
2006-Present
Bringing him into the limelight, he would go onto hosting the ABC game show, Duel, appeared on Guiding Light and once even co-hosted Live! With Kelly. He’s also an author, having written books like “The Poetics of Cities” and “All You Could Ask For.”
In a recent interview with The Chicago Tribune, he kept up his spirits with the end of his show, saying, “I can’t remember a time when I was doing much better. Things are going great, Northwestern is ranked in men’s basketball and football. I can’t think of a better time to be alive.”
