4-time World Cup champions Italy return home to Milan to take on Sweden for the second leg of a World Cup qualifier playoff. After losing the first leg 1-0l, Italy are facing missing out on the World Cup for the first time in 60 years. The last time Azzurri missed the finals was in 1958.
While Sweden will be without Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who retired from international play, the Swedes should have enough to test the Italian’s heralded back line of Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini, and Andrea Barzagli.
Despite not having as strong a team as years past, the Italians are still one of the best teams in the world and should be able to leave Stockholm with a victory.
