Gloria Fallon, the mother of Jimmy Fallon, the host of the Tonight Show, has died this Saturday at a hospital in New York.
Gloria Fallon passed away at NYU Langone Medical Center
“Jimmy Fallon’s mother, Gloria, died peacefully on Saturday,” a Fallon family spokesperson said in a press statement, according to Variety, adding, “Jimmy was at his mother’s bedside, along with her loved ones, when she passed away at NYU Langone Medical Center in NYC. Our prayers go out to Jimmy and his family as they go through this tough time.”
Her death notably came a day after NBC had canceled the taping of an episode of her son’s show due to her illness, with a September episode airing in its place. It was later confirmed that she had been in the hospital at the time of the cancellation. It is unclear at the time if Fallon will tape a new show for the upcoming Monday.
