Reports Of A Man With A Gun Prompts Lockdown At The University Of Wisconsin

There is an unconfirmed report of a man with a gun has been reported at Law Library 975 Bascom Mall. Officers on scene.  School officials are telling students to avoid the area.

Bascom is on lockdown, students can’t leave academic buildings Everyone on campus should seek a safe location. Police said officers are at the building.

Update – 1:09 EST: UW-Madison police gave the all clear, saying that the situation at Law Library over and that no threat to campus currently exists. The school is asking students to avoid the area for the time being.

As of 1:01 PM EST, there was no additional information.
