Whenever I think about Taylor Swift, I think about a quote from I-Robot.
It’s the scene where Will Smith is explaining his motives to that smokeshow robot doctor (who used to be married to Tom Brady — fun fact), and he says: “Does thinking you’re the last sane man on Earth make you crazy? Because if it does, then maybe I am.”
That essentially sums up how I’ve always felt about Taylor Swift. For whatever reason, I’ve always felt like I’m the only one on the planet who thinks she’s not that hot and her music’s not that great. Seriously, give me Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, and Demi Lovato ANY day of the week over Taylor Swift.
Anyway, back to the video, which ironically enough, looks like an I-Robot rip-off.
For the song “…Ready For It?”, Swift dons some sort of futuristic cyborg vibe, which is apparently yet ANOTHER allusion to the fact that she’s no longer the girl she used to be. Hey, Taylor, we F*CKING GET IT, you’re edgy and mature now. Congratulations.
Overall, its par for the course for Swift: a shitty pop song littered with hints about her ex-boyfriends.
All that said, she does look pretttttttty sweet in that body suit, I’ll give her that. Totally would.
