Police and SWAT are on scene at the Emmorton Business Park in Harford County because of an active shooter.Shots were reportedly fired in the Emmorton Business Park around 9:30 AM EST. A business owner in the area told a Fox affiliate that there was an active shooter. Multiple injuries have been reported and three people are confirmed dead.
Authorities have asked the public to avoid Emmorton Business Park in Edgewood after shooting. The Emmorton Business Park houses many hotels and automobile shops, such as the Comfort Inn, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn, Motel 6, and more.
Businesses in the area are on lockdown and there are multiple police and ambulances on scene. Police have asked the media to refrain from airing any tactical positioning.

A reporter for Fox says that witnesses say the shooting happened at a granite company near the entrance to Emmorton Business Park. The local ABC affilaite has photos of the scene.
Nearby schools such as Edgewood High School, Edgewood Middle School, Deerfield Elementary School, Edgewood Elementary School and William Paca/Old Post Road elementary schools have been placed on modified lockdown as a precaution.
