Pitching for Chicago tonight is Kyle Hendricks. Hendricks excelled over seven scoreless innings vs. the Nats in NLDS Game 1 but gave up four runs on nine hits in four innings in NLDS Game 5. The righty tossed 7 1/3 scoreless frames vs. L.A. in the Cubs’ pennant-clinching NLCS Game 6 win in 2016.
On the mound for the Los Angeles Dodgers is midseason acquisition Yu Darvish. Darvish turned in five strong innings vs. the D-backs in NLDS Game 3, allowing one run on two hits, walking none and striking out seven. He’s faced the Cubs once, allowing two runs over 4 1/3 innings on July 16, 2016, while a member of the Rangers.
