There comes a time when, as hard as it is to admit, you get a little too old for trick-or-treating, but that doesn’t mean you have to lock yourself in your room this October listening to the voices in your head…you can go out and enjoy yourself at a whole bunch of events. Billboard Dance lists 10 of the best parties for you to attend (and even if you still want to go trick-or-treating anyway, some of them are happening the day before, so there is absolutely no risk involved!) Just remember to go out and buy your tickets before Thanksgiving comes along!

Wynwood Fear Factory

Date: Oct. 28-29
Location: RC Cola Plant, Miami, FL
Tickets: Here

“With our second installment of Wynwood Fear Factory, we are thrilled to bring a spectacular expression of music combined with all the excitement that comes with Halloween for something Miami has never seen before,” describes Diskolab CEO Gianfranco Dossena, “We are particularly eager to host some of the biggest names in the music industry, like DJ Snake, Porter Robinson, Wiz Khalifa and Steve Angello, as well as putting on an eerie showcase of haunted attractions to keep our fans on edge.”

Something Wicked — The Asylum

Date: Oct. 28-29
Location: Sam Houston Race Park, Houston, TX
Tickets: Here

Disco Donnie Presents will be behind this annual festival, and this year will host “The Asylum” as its theme. Whether they are talking about the movie company or an actual bedlam house, or some combination of both, you know you are in for a scare.

Haunted Fest

Date: Oct. 27
Location: Ohio Expo Center, Columbus, OH
Tickets: Here

This festival is so spooky, they throw it three times, with Colombus, Pittsburgh, and Kalamazoo each having their own version. I guess people just can’t get enough of that headless headliner…don’t worry, we’re talking about Marshmello, who performed last year, not Jack O’Lantern.

FreakNight Festival

Date: Oct. 27
Location: Wamu Theater, Seattle, WA
Tickets: Here

The witches and warlocks are coming out of the woodwork this Halloween to put on a show, and we do mean show, with FreakNight hosting a circus theme this year. Regardless, this is Seattle we’re talking about, the place that birthed Starbucks, so know that it should be feared.

Suwannee Hulaween

Date: Oct. 27-29
Location: The Spirit of Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL
Tickets: Here

Okay, the name of the place this festival is going to be at already has ‘Spirit’ in its name…just the novelty of that alone justifies this event’s existence. Still, if you are going, make sure to check out the art installations of Spirit Lake!

Freaky Deaky

Date: Oct. 26-31
Location: Milwaukee, Chicago and Michigan
Tickets: Here

Maybe you are in the mood for an event in friendly, familiar Milwaukee…who am I kidding, there’s going to be zombie ravers. And if I am not mistaken, is that you, again, Marshmello?

Escape: Psycho Circus

Date: Oct. 27-28
Location: NOS Events Center, San Bernardino, CA
Tickets: Here

From Afrojack to Zedd, there is a whole list of performers to entertain this year. Last year had an Alice in Wonderland theme going on, just imagine what this year will be like!

Get Freaky

Date: Oct. 27-28
Location: The Great Saltair, Magna, UT
Tickets: Here

I love how “freaky” has more than one meaning, because we should make one thing clear…it’s all about that bass! Mixing trap and eurodance, among others, this event is going to host some “hidden gems.”

Boo! San Francisco

Date: Oct. 27-28
Location: Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, San Francisco, CA
Tickets: Here

Now, we’re hitting the West Coast! This event is going to be two nights, but the second is going to be hosted by Deadbeats! DEADBEATS! I’m just saying that’s an appropriate name for a Halloween event!

Voodoo Music + Arts Experience

Date: Oct 27-29 (“Halloween Weekend”)
Location: City Park, New Orleans
Tickets: Here

That title makes me think of that old song, “That Old Black Magic,” but I’m pretty sure this three-day showcase is going to be a bit more star-studded, with Kendrick Lamar, Foo Fighters, and The Killers all set to appear.

Have a Happy Halloween!
