A 14-year-old girl was stabbed in the chest on Tuesday morning at a Las Vegas high school. Just before lunch break at Chaparral High School, a 16-year-old female student is alleged to have stabbed the 14-year-old victim in the chest. The suspect has been taken into custody.
The 14-year-old victim was reportedly stabbed multiple times in the chest. However, according to CCSD Police Captain Ken Young, the girl’s injuries don’t appear to be life-threatening.
Young said that the 16-year-old suspect has been taken into custody and will be charged in Tuesday’s stabbing incident.
The stabbing occurred after a fight broke out between both students. The fight was later broken up by staff members of the school.
