Every week, college football fans flock to their favorite sports sources and anxiously look through the latest schedule to find a marquee matchup between two ranked opponents. However, there are some weeks that are devoid of these types of contests and fans can be quick to write off a given week because of this perceived lack of top-notch competitive affairs. Yet, as we saw last week, unranked opponents can usually be the more resilient competitors as they strive to prove themselves on the biggest stages in college football. This week newly ranked teams and unranked sleepers will look to take advantage of the supposed lapse in glamourous matchups to take a decisive step forward towards being respected amongst the college football elite.
