The shooting occurred on Sunday at around 10 P.M. when suspected mass shooter 64-year-old Stephan Paddock opened fire from his room on the 32nd floor of a Mandalay Bay hotel, across the street from the concert. He fired down upon the crowd below, causing 59 deaths and 527 injuries. Authorities are still investigating the motive in the shooting, and they are still clueless as to why someone would commit such a horrific act.
Who was Keri Galvan?
Keri Galvan was a 31-year-old mother of three from Simi Valley, California. She’s been described by friends as being a “super mom.”
Galvan lived with her husband and three children in Thousand Oaks, in southeastern Ventura County, California.
She was killed on October 1, 2017, at the Route 91 Harvest Festival. She was reportedly 100 feet away from the stage when the gunman opened fire, and she “died in her husbands arms.”
Lindsey Poole, Galvan’s sister, set up a GoFundMe page to help provide financial assistance to her three children, ages 10, 4, and 2.
Poole wrote, “Her days started and ended with doing everything in her power to be a wonderful mother.”
