The shooting occurred on Sunday at around 10 P.M. when suspected mass shooter 64-year-old Stephan Paddock opened fire from his room on the 32nd floor of a Mandalay Bay hotel, across the street from the concert. He fired down upon the crowd below, causing 59 deaths and 527 injuries. Authorities are still investigating the motive in the shooting, and are still clueless as to why someone would commit such a murderous act.

Rocio Guillen Rocha was a 40-year-old mother of four from Eastvale, California. She reportedly loved kids, country music, and running. She was described as being a “super mom.”

“She loved sports and being a supporting baseball mom,” her cousin, Vanessa Rocha, wrote on a Go Fund Me page. “Her greatest accomplishment was being a mother, as she would always say.”

The 40-year-old now-deceased mother of four grew up in Anaheim and graduated from Katella High School in 1995.

Max Ramirez, a friend of Rocio said, “She was a hard-working mom who loved all her children and family.”

Rocha worked as an assistant manager at a California Pizza Kitchen in Santa Ana, but she away on maternity leave after giving birth to her fourth child.

She has been working at that pizza restaurant since 2014. The company and coworkers are still grieving over her death.

“She touched so many within our CPK family and beyond, and she will be deeply missed by all of us,” company CEO G.J. Hart said in a statement. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Rocio’s family, as well as with the families of all those who have been affected by this senseless tragedy.”

Rocio was at the Route 91 Festival Harvest concert with her fiancé, Chris Jaksha, when the shooting began. She was shot and killed, along with 58 others at that country music event, late Sunday, October 1st.

Her son Marcus Guillen told NBC that he heard about the shooting while flying home from vacation. Right when he heard the news of the shooting, he immediately texted Jaksha, the father of his two youngest siblings and asked if his mother was alright. Marcus was informed that his mother was shot in the leg. He texted his mom, but received no response.

He said, “I texted her, ‘I love you. Are you OK?’ but she never texted back. I guess she didn’t have her phone on her.
