Not even 48 hours after the tragic shooting in Las Vegas, humanity has rallied together and have raised over 3.5 million dollars for the victims of this senseless tragedy.
A GoFundMe page, created by Steve Sisolak, a Clark County Commission Chair from Las Vegas, has raised 3.6 of its 4 million dollar goal in just over a day.
With donations made by approximately 45,000 different donors — including a $50,000 donation from the Oakland (soon-to-be Las Vegas) Raiders — the response to the Las Vegas shooting has shown that when push comes to shove, Americans have an unrivaled ability to band together in the face of darkness.
The money raised by the GoFundMe will go straight to the victims and families of the attack.

I’m Steve Sisolak, Clark County Commission Chair from Las Vegas. We are raising funds to assist the victims of the tragic Las Vegas shooting. I spent last night with Sheriff Lombardo at Clark County’s only level-one trauma center. Funds will be used to provide relief and financial support to the victims and families of the horrific Las Vegas mass shooting.
Other large donations are from businessman Stephen Cloobeck, who donated $350,000, and the NFL Foundation, which pitched in another $50,000.
