Odell Beckham Jr. has done a lot throughout his short career to become a household NFL name. While not all of these things are good things his above average skill, athleticism and all-around performance is more than enough to proclaim him as one of the greatest rookie wide receivers of all time. As the star of the New York Giants, the spotlight always seems to follow Odell. Whether he is picking fights with sideline equipment or making insane one-handed catches, he is certainly one of the most entertaining players in the game—as well as impactful.

Odell Beckham Jr. Net Worth as of 2017: $8 Million

The Giant superstar’s $8 million net worth is certainly deserved for the role he’s played the past couple seasons for the G-Men—despite his handful of controversial moments. It isn’t much of a wonder now as to why he doesn’t mind getting fined as much he does.

Beckham made his debut as a college football player on September 3, 2011, against the Oregon Ducks where he recorded his first touchdown. That season, he played in two championship games and recorded 475 yards with 2 touchdowns that year—not bad for a rookie.

In 2012, he showed no signs of slowing down with leading his team in receptions, including one game with five receptions and two touchdowns.

By the next year, he and teammate Jarvis Landry were regarded as the best wide receiver duos in all of College Football. Both would go on to play in the NFL.

Beckham’s NFL career began in 2014 after being drafted by the New York Giants with their 12th pick in the first round. After a knee injury caused him to miss almost all of preseason, Odell did not make his professional debut until Week 5 against the Atlanta Falcons. His four-catch and one-touchdown performance added one more impressive debut to his Football resume. This was only a sign of better things that would come.

In a November game against his team’s rival, the Dallas Cowboys, Beckham reeled in 10 catches for 146 yards and two touchdowns. This included a one-handed touchdown grab that would be hailed as one of the greatest catches in NFL history. The catch elevated Odell to star-status leading to consistent performance. On December 14, 2014, he became the first NFL rookie to record 12 catches, 143 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns. In the last game of the 2014 season, Odell reached a career-high with 185 receiving yards.

In 2015, Beckham played in his first Pro-Bowl game, becoming the first Giants rookie receiver to do so. Unfortunately, after several physical confrontations Carolina Panthers cornerback, Josh Norman during a Week 15 matchup, Odell was suspended without pay for one game. While his performance on the field persisted so did his misconduct.

In the same season Beckham became the fastest receiver to reach 200 receptions in a season, he was also fined for an illegal hit on Saints’ safety, Kenny Vaccaro.
