Peak Flag Preposterousness: George Clooney Pens A Poem About The NFL Flag Controversy

Come on, Clooney. A poem dude?

Talk about liberal Hollywood bullsh*t. And it isn’t even anything profound, all he does is repeat the phrase “I pray” and then list things that any reasonable person should pray for.

via Daily Beast:

I pray for my country.
I pray that we can find more that unites us than divides us.
I pray that our nation’s leaders want to do the same.
I pray that young children like Tamir Rice can feel safe in their own neighborhood.
I pray for all our children.
I pray for our police and our first responders.
I pray for our men and women of the armed services.
I pray that dissent will always be protected in this great country.
I pray for a more perfect union.
And when I pray, I kneel.

It reminds me of a college kid getting high for the first time who begins pandering the meaning of life. Thinking that he’s actually having truly insightful thoughts, he writes them down to revisit them when he’s sober.

The next day, he eagerly checks to see what his evidently genius stoned mind concocted, only able to find a bunch of vague cliches like “life is beautiful” and “what goes around comes around”.

So thanks, George, for letting everyone know that you pray for children and first responders — really eye-opening stuff right there. I know all the people in middle America didn’t vote for Hillary Clinton because they didn’t think Liberals like Clooney prayed for the troops (#ForTheTroops). Now, thanks to George and his 9-line poem, maybe America can finally come together and begin to heal.
