Meet Reb Beatty, a professor at Anne Arundel Community College who got publicly outsmarted by his own student and just rolled with the punches. This is my kind of teacher — I can already tell his students probably love him.
As Professor Beatty usually does, he allows his students to bring a take their first exam with a 3×5 cheat sheet. However, he failed to specify the exact dimensions of the cheat sheet, which gave one opportunistic student a chance he couldn’t refuse.

First test day of the semester and as always, I allow a 3×5 notecard. Today, a student shows up with this. Sure enough, it is 3×5… feet. As precise as I am, apparently I never specified inches and therefore yes, it was allowed. Well played and lesson learned for me.
