Kevin Durant is a 28-year-old NBA MVP, Champion, Finals MVP, and Scoring Champion, and yet for most of the last year and a half, he’s been in the headlines for negative reasons. Remember now, Kevin Durant was one of the most likeable stars in the league during his time in Oklahoma City, but now, you can’t find a single NBA diehard who still supports the guy.
Now, one would think that after KD copped his first championship ring, the scrutiny would lighten, except the opposite has been true: it’s only increased. And its all Durant’s fault, because for some ungodly reason, he cannot stay out of the comment section.
Earlier in the week, the internet (still undefeated) discovered that KD apparently has burner accounts on both Twitter and Instagram that he uses to defend himself against random Twitter trolls. But the madness doesn’t stop there, as its now been discovered that KD is even hopping into the comment section of YouTube!
What is this man’s deal? Is a multi-bajillion dollar contract and an NBA championship not enough? You really got that itch to go argue with DMac90 on YouTube?
Don’t think people aren’t noticing, either, as Yahoo Sports reports that many in the Warriors organization are “perplexed” by Durant’s offseason behavior. And not only is Durant getting roasted by the causal fan, but he’s getting ethered by ex-players, too, such as Stephen Jackson.
Kevin Durant very well may be the best basketball player in the world right now, but he always seems to be the thinnest-skinned and least self-aware.
