One of the best comedies on TV, NBC’s The Good Place, returns tonight for it’s season 2 premiere, “Everything Is Great!”
A surprise hit last fall, The Good Place stars Kristen Bell as Eleanor Shellstrop, a recently deceased young woman who wakes up in the afterlife and is sent to to the “good place”, a heaven-like utopia, by Michael, played by Ted Danson.
In the season one finale, it was revealed that (Spoiler alert!) that Elenaor and her friends were actually in the BAD place and that Michael is actually a Bad Place demon who constructed a fake “Good Place” to torture Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani, and Jason. At the end of the season 1 finale, Michael rebooted the system, effectively wiping Eleanor’s mind clean so he can start his experiemnt over again. That’s where season two picks off.

After Michael erases their memories, Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani and Jason find themselves in the Good Place again, but Eleanor finds a clue she left for herself and tries to put everything together.
