Odessa Police Department are currently looking for the suspect in Thursday morning’s shooting at the parking lot of T&T Donuts. Nathon Gaytan, 25, is accused of shooting and killing a 27-year-old man and then shooting at a 23-year-old woman before fleeing the scene. Gaytan has been charged with Murder and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
Kyle Armer, 27, has been identified as the murder victim, who was shot in a parking lot in the 3700 block of Andrews Highway. At 5:21 A.M., Odessa police responded to gunshots heard at this location.
When officers arrived at the scene of the crime, they found Armer dead inside a truck with a 23-year-old woman. She told officers that they were sitting in a pick-up truck in the parking lot of T&T Donuts when the suspect opened fire in the direction of Armer, hitting him multiple times with bullets.
The suspect then allegedly approached the female inside the truck and opened fire once more before fleeing the scene. According to OPD, the woman was able to avoid injury.
Police have investigated the shooting and have already identified a prime suspect in the shooting. A 25-year-old man by the name of Nathon Gaytan has been named the suspect in Thursday morning shooting incident in the parking lot of T&T Donuts. A warrant has been issued for Gaytan’s arrest.
