Blake Heron Cause Of Death: How Did The Star Of ‘Shiloh’ Die?

Blake Heron, star of the 1996 film Shiloh, passed away today at the age of 35. Law enforcement informed TMZ, that paramedics worked on Heron for 40 minutes, in an attempt to revive the actor. But they were unsuccessful and Heron died at the scene. His girlfriend originally found him dead in his LA area home Friday morning. But his death was medically confirmed after paramedic failed to revive the former film star.

EMTs found several prescriptions for flu medication. Heron was reportedly sick for days. He had also just returned from rehab only several days prior.

The actor had been battling with heroin addiction for years. However, EMTs didn’t find any illicit drugs or narcotics at his home.

The cause of death hasn’t been confirmed. One source stated that there is no evidence that the actor consumed alcohol.

In 1998, Heron won a Young Artist Award for Best Leading Young Actor for his work in the film Shiloh. The actor also received supporting roles in films such as We Were Soldiers” and “11:14.” He’s no stranger to television either, as he’s appeared on shows such as ER, NCIS: New Orleans, and Criminal Minds. In 2017, he appeared in the documentary A Thousand Junkies which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival.
