WWE Monday Night Raw is live from the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Tonight’s show starts off with John Cena in action against Raw General Manager Kurt Angle’s son Jason Jordan. Let’s get right to the action now…

John Cena vs. Jason Jordan

Before the match, we see a clip of John Cena’s WWE debut against Kurt Angle back in 2002. Cena is an impressive rookie, who kicks the ass of a seasoned veteran. He lost the match, but definitely impressed the Olympic Gold Medalist. Now, Cena returns the favor against Angle’s son…

John Cena starts off this match feeling cocky. Jason Jordan capitalizes off of Cena underestimating him by taking down the 16-time world champion twice. Jordan goes for the pin, but John kicks out. The look on Cena’s face changed. He now knows what he’s up against. Jordan locks Cena’s hips from behind and sends him to the mat with a suplex. Jordman maintains his grip, but Cena fights out. Jordan quickly reverses and sends Cena back down to the mat.

Cena throws Jason Jordan to the mat with a hip toss. But Jordan quickly recovers and traps Cena in another waste-lock. Cena fights out and knocks Jordan down with a big elbow “right to the snout,” says Raw color commentator Booker T.

Super Cena is kicking ass, throwing Jordan across the ring with a superplex. Cena whips Jordan into the turnbuckle and Angle’s son goes crashing to the mat. Cena is in solid control of the match as we go to the commercial break.

Jordan regains control as we return from the commercial break with a huge belly-to-belly suplex. Cena fights out and turns the tide, but Jordan quickly changes the momentum back in his favor. Both men knock each other out. “The playing field is even right now,” says color commentator Corey Graves.

Both men return to their feet and trade shots. Cena drops Jordan and hits him with a Five-Knuckle Shuffle. Cena attempts an Attitude Adjustment, but Jordan slides out and rolls up Cena. 1…2…kick out!

John Cena quickly returns to his senses and locks Jason Jordan into an STFU. Jordan slides out and locks Cena into a crossface submission hold. Cena powers out, lifts Jordan up on his shoulders, but Jordan fights out. Jordan hits two consecutive Northern Light Suplexes, one after the other. Jordan goes for the cover. 1…2….kick out!

Cena and Jordan are jockeying for position. Both men are trading moves, but then outta nowhere Cena hits an Attitude Adjustment.

Post-Match: Cena and Jordan pay their respects. And then…Roman Reigns music hits.


John Cena and Roman Reigns Trash Talking 101

Roman Reigns says that Cena is a “punk ass b*tch.” Reigns says that if Cena was really as good as he claims to be then he wouldn’t have wrestled for over 20 minutes against a rookie. Cena is a “punk ass part-timer” to Reigns.

John Cena fires back and says that this “part-timer” is going to kick of Roman Reigns at No Mercy. But Reigns wants to fight now, and provokes John to start the fight. Cena stands his ground, but doesn’t fight. Reigns still thinks Cena is a punk ass b*tch.


Sheamus & Cesaro vs. Heath Slater & Rhyno

Cesaro is distracted by The Shield sitting at the commentator’s table. Slater capitalizes on this distraction and rolls up Cesaro. “The Swiss Superman” Cesaro quickly turns the tide and levels “The One Man Southern Rock Band” Heath Slater.

Slater is being assaulted left and right. Cesaro and Sheamus double-team. Cesaro grapples Slater down to the mat. But Slater breaks free and tosses Cesaro out of the ring. Cesaro attempts to stop Slater from making the tag. But Heath fires back and cleans Cesaro’s clock.

Rhyno gets the tag and “The Man Beast” goes on the attack. Rhyno dominates both Cesaro and Sheamus. Cesaro tosses Slater out of the ring. Rhyno knocks Cesaro out of the ring, distracting himself with “The Celtic Warrior” in the ring. Sheamus capitalizes on the opportunity and hits Rhyno with a Brogue Kick.

WWE Intercontinental Championship: The Miz (c) vs. Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy controls the early going of the match. Hardy sends Miz to the floor. The Miz is reeling to the outside with his Miztourage as we go to the commercial break. When we return from the break, Hardy is about to hit the Swanton Bomb on Miz, but the referee is distracted by The Miztourage. Hardy is knocked off the top rope, and Matt Hardy gets revenge, assaulting both members of the Miztourage.

Jeff and Miz trades moves. Hardy turns the tide and rolls up Miz, but “The Hollywood A-Lister” kicks out. Miz regains control and hits Hardy with a series of YES Kicks.

Hardy changes the momentum once again and attacks Miz in the corner. Hardy runs along the ring apron, and Miz knocks him to the floor hard. Miz rolls Hardy back into the ring and goes for the cover. 1…2…kick out! Miz slaps in the Figure Four Leg Lock immediately. Hardy is racked with pain. Hardy is able to grab the bottom rope, and the hold is broken up. Hardy hits Miz with a jawbreaker and goes for the cover. 1…2…Miz grabs the lower rope. Hardy knocks Miz out of the ring and then launches himself off the steel steps onto The Miz.

Jeff ascends the top rope for a Swanton Bomb. Maryse pokes her husband The Miz, which helps him return to his senses, so he can roll out of the way just in the nick of time. Jeff crashes to the mat and Miz rolls out of the way. Hardy recovers and kicks Miz in the gut. He attempts a Twist of Fate, but Miz counters with a Skull Crushing Finale.

Nia Jax Is Upset Inside Kurt Angle’s Office

Nia Jax is pissed off that that “Beyoncé-wannabe” Sasha Banks will be receiving a shot at the WWE Raw Women’s Championship. Angle informs Jax that Banks is entitled to another match against Alex Bliss as her “the rematch clause”. Jax says if you want an opportunity, you make/take your opportunity. Angle agrees. Emma comes out of nowhere, and says that everyone was talking about Emma last week and not Jax. This pisses Nia off, but Angle resolves the tension with an announcement. Tonight, Nia Jax will team up with Emma to take on Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss. If Jax and Emma wins then women’s championship match at No Mercy will turn into a Fatal 4-Way.


Enzo Amore, Cedric Alexander, and Gran Metalik vs. Noam Darr, Drew Gulak, and Tony Nese

Enzo Amore comes out with a microphone in hand, spouting his usual shtick. Enzo introduces his partners to the crowd in typical ridiculous fashion (both in words and in outfit, how ya doin’).

Cedric Alexander and Tony Nese are trading shots as we return from the break. Enzo gets the tag and does a little dance before dropping a knee of Nese’s face. Tony turns the tide and drops Enzo into the turnbuckle. Gulak gets the tag and keeps Enzo grounded. Dar gets the tag and keeps the punishment on Enzo.

Enzo is getting his ass kicked, but he manages to make his way to the corner. Cedric Alexander gets the tag and starts kicking ass. Alexander assaults Gulak, and Gran Metalik flies and takes out Tony Nese with a dropkick. Metalik knocks Noam Darr to the floor and then flies out and knocks down both Darr and Gulak with a suicide dive. Enzo receives the tag. The referee is distracted, so ‘Zo capitalizes with a thumb to Drew Gulak’s eye. ‘Zo drops Drew with a JawdonZO for the victory.

Finn Balor Is Angry At Bray Wyatt

FinnBalor is drooling at the opportunity to attack Bray Wyatt. “The Demon King” defeated Wyatt at SummerSlam. The next time they face off, Finn is going to finish Wyatt.

Bray Wyatt appears on the titan-tron. Wyatt wonders if Balor will topple him at No Mercy or will he run like a little rabbit. Run, little rabbit. Run.


Emma and Nia Jax vs. Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss

Sasha Banks and Nia Jax are trading shots. Jax stops Sasha’s fire by striking her down to the mat. Jax talks some trash to Emma who reaches in and makes the tag. Emma is unleashing furry on Sasha in the corner. Sasha counters, Emma quickly kills her momentum. Emma slaps in a submission of Sasha who somehow manages to escape.

Banks turns the tide with a superplex on Emma. Banks tags in Alexa Bliss who unloads on Emma with a series of kicks. Sasha Banks is tagged back into the match and kicks some ass. Sasha wails away on Emma with forearms. But the Australian-born Emma is able to fight back with a forearm of her own.

After a back-and-forth match, Nia Jax lays out “The Boss” Sasha. Emma picks the bones, and covers The Boss for the win. It looks at No Mercy, it’ll be a Fatal 4-way for the Raw Women’s Championship.

The Shield (Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins) vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson

The Shield is back, baby, and they’re kicking ass! Rollins and Ambrose knocks Gallows and Anderson out of the ring. The Shield perform jump out of the ring, performing a suicide dive on their opponents. When we return from the break, Gallows is in control of Ambrose. Anderson turned the tide during the break with a big-time spine-buster.

Both teams exchange spots. Anderson takes out Gallows with a Lunatic Lariat. Rollins comes in and punishes Anderson. The Shield are solidly in control. Cesaro and Sheamus jump into the ring and get involved. But the interference doesn’t pay off, as Rollins rolls up Anderson for the win.

Steel Cage Match: Braun Strowman vs. Big Show

Braun Strowman and Big Show tangle. Strowman hits Show with a big boot and is relentless in his assault against the giant. Strowman charges and Show gains the early advantage with an incredible knockout punch on Strowman. “The Monster Among Men” appears to be knocked out as we go to the final commercial break of the evening.

The match gets really exciting as we return from the break. Both giants clash. The Big Show is able to hit an incredible elbow drop off the top rope. Like WTF??

Big Show almost sends Braun to hell with a chokeslam, but “The Monster Among Men” kicks out at the count of 2. Show throws Strowman into the steel. But Braun manages to back a comeback. Strowman takes out Show with a running powerslam.

Post-match: “Look what I did to the so-called giant, says Strowman. “What do you think I’m going to do to Brock Lesnar at No Mercy?” Strowman is coming for Lesnar at No Mercy. After his warning, Strowman picked up Big Show and slammed him right through the steel cage. Strowman stands triumphantly in the ring. Braun exits the ring and up the entrance ramp. We see replays, showing different angles of Strowman throwing Show through the steel cage. Strowman stands tall on the entrance ramp and lets out a war cry as Raw goes off the air.
