The Miz is interrupted by Raw General Manager Kurt Angle

The Miz is about to run his mouth, but is interrupted by Raw General Manager Kurt Angle who is about to make an announcement regarding Miz’s IC title. The Miz is furious at Angle. How dare he interrupt the champion. Miz defines respect as “a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements.”

Miz feels he should be respected for his abilities as champion. Angle says he has an announcement regarding the Intercontinental Championship. Angle announces a 15-man over-the-top battle royal up next, and the winner becomes the new #1 contender for Miz’s championship for next week’s episode of Raw.


15-Man Over-The-Top Battle Royal for the #1 contender spot of the WWE Intercontinental Championship: The Big Show vs. Finn Balor vs. Curtis Axel vs. Bo Dallas vs. Jason Jordan vs. Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Curt Hawkins vs. Goldust vs. Apollo Crews vs. Elias Samson vs. R-Truth vs. Kalisto vs. Luke Gallows vs. Karl Anderson

Curt Hawkins gets dumped out immediately by almost everyone in the match. Big Show imposes his will on the competition. So everyone has to team up on him to knock him out. Finn Balor puts the finishing touches on Show to make him fall out of the ring. Miztourage’s Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas eliminate Kalisto and R-Truth. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson knock Goldust’s clock off and eliminate him from the match as we go to the commercial break.

Apollo Crews is knocked out during the break. Matt Hardy takes out both Gallows & Anderson. Hardy sends Anderson spine-first into the ring-post. Gallows receives a measure of revenge when he pulls Hardy off the apron, eliminating him from the match. Gallows & Anderson beat down Matt. Meanwhile, The Miz assaults Finn Balor and Jeff Hardy, assuring that his guy Bo remains in the match.

Balor picks up a lot of momentum, kicking Axel’s ass. Balor goes after Elias Samson and tries to knock him out, but “the drifter” is way too tough and hangs on to the match. Balor almost knocks Bo Dallas unconscious then sets his sights on Jeff Hardy. Balor is kicking ass and standing tall, but then…out comes Bray Wyatt who eliminates Balor and then disappears into the darkness.

The Miztoruage are trying to eliminate Jason Jordan. But Jordan slides through and eliminates both Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel at the same time. Jordan eliminates Elias Samson. But then out of nowhere, Jeff Hardy dumps Jordan over the top rope.

Jeff Hardy wins the battle royal to become the new #1 contender for the WWE Intercontinental Championship for next week


Enzo Amore vs. Noam Darr

Enzo Amore is about to make his cruiserweight match debut. Noam Darr starts off this match, really laying into Amore. Darr is taking Enzo to school. But ya cat Enzo Amore is too cool for school.

Somehow, Enzo is able to turn the tide and give himself another victory. How ya doin’?


Paul Heyman & Brock Lesnar have words for Braun Strowman

Paul Heyman brings us back to last week’s Raw when Braun Strowman monster-handled Brock Lesnar. Lesnar says he’ll be taking Strowman to “Suplex City, b*tch.”


Seth Rollins vs. Cesaro

Seth Rollins controls the early going, taking the fight to Cesaro. Sheamus tries to distract, but this doesn’t pay off as Rollins continues the onslaught. Seth brings the fight back into the ring, but Cesaro turns the tide and punishes Rollins with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker.

Rollins regains ground when we return from the break. Sheamus distracts Rollins, and Cesaro capitalizes with a roll-up.

Dean Ambrose vs. Sheamus

Sheamus takes control in the early going of the match. Ambrose is able to somehow turn the tide, but the damage has been done. Sheamus goes for the Brogue Kick, but Ambrose counters. Ambrose attempts a Dirty Deeds DDT, but Sheamus blocks. Ambrose hits a big-time clothesline.

Rollins and Cesaro are both trying to get in the match-up. The referee is distracted by Cesaro, which allows Rollins to run in, attack Sheamus and break-up a White Noise. Rollins drops Sheamus then suicide dives out of the ring, taking out Cesaro. Ambrose capitalizes with a Dirty Deeds onto Sheamus for the win.

Mickie James vs. Emma

Mickie James kicks ass in the early going. Emma appears to be in over her head. But then Mickie gets rolled-up and now she must admit that Emma started the women’s revolution.

John Cena & Roman Reigns vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson

Reigns & Cena argued a lot before the match, but what they can argue on is kicking ass. Despite an initial struggle, they ended up annihilating the competition. Reigns seals the deal with a spear.

Elias Samson sings

Elias Samson starts this segment beneath a spotlight. He tells the audience that the late Dusty Rhodes called him “the king” of the WWE. Memphis sound recognize them as his king as well.

Jerry “The King” Lawler interrupts Samson and calls out the real king of Memphis: Pelvis Presley a.k.a. Heath Slater in an Elvis costume. Samson immediately drops Slater. Samson doesn’t play that sh*t.


WWE Raw Women’s Championship: Sasha Banks (c) vs. Alexa Bliss

Sasha dominates the early going of the match, firing at Alexa with hard shots. Bliss tries to wiggle away, but gets hit with a drop kick. Sasha stands tall as we go to the break.

We’re back and Bliss is in solid control of Sasha. Bliss slaps on a bow and arrow submission, but Sasha breaks free with some kicks. Sahsa hits big knees.

Alexa battles back with a big shot.  Bliss hits double knees and then a moonsault. But Sasha is able to recover and hita Shining Wizard. More back and forth. Bliss nails a superplex.

Bliss goes for a pin, but Sasha turns it into a Banks Statement. Bliss rolls up Sasha for the 2 count, and then drops her once more for the win.
