Jemma Beale: Full Story & Must-See Details On False Rape Claims

Metropolitan Police

Prosecutors said one West London woman lived her life under a “construct of bogus victimhood.” Over the course of three years, Jemma Beale, 25, claimed to be raped by nine men and sexually assaulted by six. One man spent two years behind bars because of Beale’s false accusations. On Thursday, a judge sentenced her to 10 years in prison.

The 25-year-old from Hounslow was on trail for six weeks at Southwark Crown Court stemming from her allegations, now asserted to be false by investigators and prosecutors. She was guilty of perjury and perverting the course of justice.

Judge Nicholas Loraine-Smith said in sentencing: “This trial has revealed, what was then not obvious, that you are a very, very convincing liar and you enjoy being seen as a victim.”

The judge added that, “The prosecution described your life as a ‘construct of bogus victimhood’. These offences usually began as a drunken attempt to get your partner’s sympathy or perhaps to arouse her jealousy (Beale’s girlfriend). They each began impulsively, but what is particularly chilling is the manner in which you persisted in making allegations which you knew were untrue even to the extent of committing and repeating perjury.”

What Happened?

One of her alleged victims, Mahad Cassim, spent two years in jail following a seven-year prison sentence in which Beale claimed to have been raped. He gave her a lift home, but while in the car he claims that she responded sexually. When they got out of the car, she allegedly told him “Get your pants down.”

“We drove for about ten minutes and while we were in the car we were talking and then she came and gave me a rub on my knuckles, my hand,’ Mr Cassim said. “She was asking me kind of questions, whilst rubbing my knuckles, asking, obviously about sex.’

He added: “I said “Are you sure?” and she said yes – I asked three times “Are you sure?” – and said OK.”

When they left the car, Beale allegedly got more sexual, ‘Then all of a sudden, after about three yards she told me to pull off my underwear.”

In 2010, the now 37-year-old Somalian immigrant was falsely convicted of rape. He said that her false allegations severely impacted his life. “One of my goals is to be a successful businessman, to have a nice family and be happy,” he said. “I am working on the happiness – I have a long way to go.”

In July 2012, Beale alleged that a stranger, Noam Shahzad, groped her in a pub. She then claims that the man gang raped her. She even went as far as to injury herself with barbed wire to back up her claims. The man skipped bail and fled the country after being charged with sexual assault.

A year later, Beale allegedly fabricated similar allegations against six additional men. She also claimed that two strangers sexually assaulted her, and she was gang raped again by four other men, two months later.

Let’s Hear from the Judge/Prosecution

Prosecutor Madeleine Wolfe informed the court that police dedicated 6,400 hours investigating Beale’s false allegations with a cost of at least £250,000, while the trial cost taxpayers roughly £109,000.

“Cases such as this bring a real risk that a woman who has been raped or sexually assaulted does not complain to the police for fear of not being believed”, the judge added. “False allegations are likely to have the perverse impact of increasing the likelihood of guilty men going free.”

Jemma Beale had her arms crossed as the judge sentenced her to 10 years in prison. The judge described her actions as “manipulative.”

Beale has a girlfriend, and claims to be a lesbian with “no desire” to engage sexually with males.
