Hope Hicks, only 28-year-old, is President Donald J. Trump’s longest serving political aide and has been named the interim White House communications director. Hicks replaces Anthony Scaramucci, who only lasted 10 days in the position.
Hicks previously served as the press secretary and early communications director for Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, as well as the national press secretary for his presidential transition team. She also served as the White House’s director of strategic communications.
In January 2017, Hicks was honored with a spot on Forbes’ “30 under 30” list, having “served as a one-woman press team for Trump’s historic presidential campaign.”
On Wednesday, August 14, Hicks was named as the interim White House communications director.

President Trump’s longtime aide Hope Hicks will serve as the interim White House director of communications and will help the president find a permanent person for the job, the administration said Wednesday.
However temporary it is, it was the latest reshuffling in the White House and comes at a time when the president’s remarks on white supremacists were drawing fire from Democrats and Republicans. The role of communications director is to set a clear and direct message coming from the White House each day.
Ms. Hicks, 28, already is considered one of the most important people in the president’s communications orbit and has the most sway over who in the news media gets interviews with the president. Her current title is director of strategic communications.
Not only does Hicks of the beauty, but the brains, too, as she’s been a one-lady-wrecking-crew for one of the biggest political movements this country has ever seen. Quite impressive.
