The saying “not all heroes wear capes” is thrown around on the internet so much that it seems to have lost its meaning. However, this Walgreens employee brings back the honor to the hero moniker when he stops a sexual assault in-progress.
The employee heard screams coming from the bathroom. A woman’s voice screamed for help and the employee swooped in and saved the day.
On Thursday, August 10th, 2017, a sexual assault took place in a Walgreens bathroom in Bronx, New York. Just before 3:45, the 50-year-old victim was about to leave the bathroom when she was pushed back in by a sexual predator.
According to police, the suspect knocked his victim to the ground, covered her mouth and attempted to take off her pants. A hero employee heard a woman crying for help in the bathroom. The worker rushed to the scene and pulled the suspect away from the victim.
The suspect fled the scene before police arrived. Authorities released a video showing the suspect entering the Walgreens where he allegedly sexually assaulted a 50-year-old woman.
