Having over 5 million followers by the time Vine died and now having over 9 MILLION followers on his main channel alone, Paul has quite the fan base.
Now with an online presence this massive, one’s got to think… how much money is this dude making? Well, the answer is pretty shocking…
Jake Paul’s Net Worth as of 2017: $7.5 million
Guess it really does pay to terrorize your neighborhood.
2013 – 2015
Born January 17th, 1997 in Cleaveland, Ohio. In September 2013, Jake Paul started his “career” at the age of 16 by joining the video sharing app, Vine, and started sharing his life to the world. When Vine shut down earlier this year, Paul had amounted over 5 million followers and over 2 BILLION plays. Jake’s older brother, Logan, is also pretty big deal in the digital realm. Combining to make a massive 20 million subscribers on YouTube alone, these brothers have proved themselves as forces to be reckoned with.
Paul’s online presence helped land him a spot on Disney Channel’s Bizaardvark, where he played Dirk who somewhat resembled his real life persona. The show takes on the YouTube culture, where two girls who have become internet stars and become social media influencers. Sound familiar?
2016 – Present
Running two channels “Jake Paul” and “Jake Paul 2” as well as appearing on the “Team 10” channel, Paul has amassed over 12 million subscribers that he calls his “Jake Paulers”. Gag. His music video for the “song” (questionable) “It’s Everyday Bro” is currently sitting at over 91 million views on YouTube despite being the seventh most disliked song on the site.
He even has launched a new business venture called, Team 10, which is a social media incubator and management agency based around teen entertainment. The Team helps social media influencers gain and manage their popularity. With his main channel at over 9 million subscribers, it seems like there is no stopping Jake Paul anytime soon. Even during all the recent controversy surrounding him.
In July 2017, neighbors of Jake Paul accused the social media star of terrorizing their neighborhood with his annoying and insane antics for his YouTube channel in $17k a month rental. Guess the “It’s Everyday Bro” video was an indicator of some of the antics going on in the house. Neighbors began to turn to the news under confidentiality to avoid retaliation from Jake Paul. This controversy ultimately led Disney Channel to announce that Jake Paul would be leaving Bizaardvark, which was in the middle of filming it’s second season at the time.
Despite the recent controversies, Jake Paul seems to be pulling in the money, making a reported $37k a day from his main YouTube channel, “Jake Paul”. Aside from YouTube, Paul sells his own merchandise and is planning to look for more adult roles, focus on his personal brand and business ventures. But with a following this big, I doubt he’ll have a hard time looking for more work.
