John Cena kicks off SmackDown Live

John Cena found out exactly why the crowd loves Shinsuke Nakamura so much. It’s because that dude hits hard. Cena builds up Nakamura some more, but Baron Corbin’s music hits, interrupting the multi-time former champion.

Corbin talks some serious sh*t to Cena. He thinks John should be talking about him instead of Nakamura. Corbin claims to be “the future.” Cena calls Corbin “a fat-skinny, dumpster fire.” Cena points to a sign in the crowd, which also calls Corbin a “dumpster fire.”

Baron Corbin wants nothing of Cena. Corbin says he has nothing to prove. Out comes SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan. He makes a match for SummerSlam between John Cena and Baron Corbin. The crowd chants “YES! YES! YES!”

The Usos vs. Tye Dillinger & Sami Zayn

Tye Dillinger squares off against Jimmy Uso to start off this match. Dillinger dominates Jimmy. Zayn gets the tag and tries to take out the Uso brother with a helluva kick, but Jey pulls Jimmy out of harm’s way.

The Usos dominate all throughout the commercial break. Dillinger tries turning the tide. Meanwhile, Zayn is taken out with a wicked superkick. Dillinger attempts a Tye Breaker, but gets kicked in the gut. Tye tries to fight back, but The Usos dominate this less than perfect 10.

Dillinger taps to a Tequila Sunrise.

Fashion Peaks

Breezango is back with another Twins Peaks parody. The Ascension wants some pie. Arn Anderson wants a couple of donuts. And Tyler Breeze just wants to find out where’s ‘Dango…

Charlotte Flair vs. Lana

Charlotte predictably mops the floor with Lana in this match-up. Flair beats Lana up and down the ring. “The Ravishing Russian” tries to turn the tide, but “The Queen” is way too much for her to handle. Lana is pissed and slaps Charlotte right in the face. Big f*cking mistake!

Flair charges Lana, flooring her with a big boot. Charlotte seals the deal with the Figure Eight submission. Lana taps out.

Shane McMahon talks with Kevin Owens & AJ Styles in the ring

Shane O’Mac is in the ring with KO and AJ Styles. Shane says that he’ll call things right down the middle. Owens suggests that he feels comfortable with Shane as referee, but should AJ? We see a clip of AJ assaulting Shane back in the March. Can Shane be an impartial referee if Styles rammed his head through a car window several months ago. Shane then shows a clip from 1998 when Shane refereed a match between Mankind and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Austin gave Mankind the Stone Cold Stunner and went for the pin. Shane counts to 2 and then gives Austin the middle finger.

AJ Styles doesn’t want to wait until SummerSlam. He want to fight Owens right now. But KO wants to win the US title in America, not some lousy city in Canada. The crowd boos. KO and Styles are about to fight anyway. Shane gets in-between the two competitors. Owens throws a punch. Styles hits a Pele Kick on Shane by mistake. The crowd chants, “You screwed Shane!”

Tamina Snuka is pissed off at Lana

Tamina doesn’t like how Lana suggested Ms. Snuka to basically doll herself up. That’s not Snuka’s style, much like wrestling Charlotte isn’t exactly Lana’s style.

Carmella vs. Naomi

Naomi and Carmella lock up. Carmella hits Naomi with her knee and starts talkin’ sh*t. Naomi silences the hate by dropping Carmella and then sliding through with a slap to the face.

Carmella is frustrated, but focused. She turns the tide and takes down Naomi during the commercial break. Carmella has the champion trapped in a submission. Naomi fights out, but Carmella slams her to the mat by her neon hair.

Both women brawl. Naomi gains the upper-hand and Carmella gets desperate. It looks like “The Princess of Staten Island” is going to rip Naomi’s hair right from her scalp. Carmella lets go of the hair before the referee disqualifies her.

Naomi ascends the top rope while the referee is distracted with Carmella. James Ellsworth emerges from under the ring and knocks Naomi down to the ring. Carmella capitalizes with a big-time super-kick for the win.

Natalya warns Carmella and James Ellsworth

Ms. Nattie-By-Nature wants both Carmella and “The Chinless Wonder” James Ellsworth to stay out of her business at SummerSlam or else…

Shinsuke Nakamura is feeling confident about SummerSlam

We see a per-taped, sit-down interview with Shinsuke Nakamura. Last week, he beat “the guy” 16-time world champion John Cena. At SummerSlam, he’ll knock off Jinder Mahal to become the new WWE World Champion.

Grudge Match: Jinder Mahal vs. Randy Orton

Jinder Mahal starts off this contest hot against Randy Orton. But Orton quickly fires back and turns the momentum. Orton is solidly in control. He removes equipment from the announcer’s table. He props Mahal up on the table for an RKO, but Mahal pushes Randy off of him. Orton crashes over the barricade and into the timekeeper’s area.

Mahal is solidly in control when we return from the commercial break. Jinder charges towards Orton, but runs shoulder-first into the ring post. Mahal falls out of the ring and tries to hit Orton in the ring. Randy takes control and punishes Mahal. Orton props Jinder on the top rope and sends him flying across the ring with a superplex.

Orton and Mahal return to their feet. Randy strikes him several times. Orton hits clothesline after clothesline followed by a fall-away slam. The “king of the RKO” punches Jinder in the skull at the corner of the ring. Mahal manages to fight out, but gets caught with a scoop slam. Mahal tries to turn the tide, but eats an elbow from Orton. Jinder returns the favor with a running knee to Orton’s face. Mahal goes for the cover. 1…2…kick out!

Both men tangle. Mahal tries to turn the tide, but gets caught in a middle-rope DDT. Jinder recuperates and rolls up Orton. 1…2….kick out!

Mahal fires back with a huge kick to the face that echoed throughout the arena. Jinder is about to put away with a Khallas, but Orton counters with an RKO outta nowhere! The WWE Champion got owned!

Randy Orton defeats Jinder Mahal

Post-Match: Randy Orton celebrates his win, while Jinder Mahal lies on the mat, clutching his championship. Randy walks up the ramp, looks back at Jinder, and then turns around to a surprise kick from “The Bulgarian Brute” Rusev.
