Game Of Thrones aired one of it’s most intense episodes of all-time last night, and because of that, were able to sneak a pretty major cameo right under our noses.
Appearing as a sure-to-be-doomed Lannister infantry soldier, Mets ace pitcher (no, not Jacob DeGrom, he actually stays on the field) Noah Syndergaard made his Game Of Thrones debut.
Maybe it’s because he wasn’t singing a Westerosi tune, but Syndergaard’s cameo flew far more under the radar than Ed Sheeran’s did during the season 7 premiere.
However, just because his appearance wasn’t as heavily criticized as Sheeran’s was, doesn’t mean that fans didn’t notice … especially Mets fans:
