The synopsis of “The Spoils of Wars”:
“Daenerys fights back. Jaime faces an unexpected situation. Arya comes home.”
Picking up from “The Queen’s Justice”, Jon Snow is still in Dragonstone where his effort to mine Dragonglass begins. However, with news that the Unsullied’s siege of Casterly Rock did not go as planned, Daenerys’ plans may change.
Up north, Arya will be making her long awaited return home to Winterfell, where she’ll be reunited with Sansa, Bran, Brienne, Littlefinger, and more. In King’s Landing, Cersei continues to deliberate with the representative from the Iron Bank. Meanwhile, Theon (or is he Reek again?) and some Greyjoy men seem to be landing on Dragonstone. Based on the preview, it looks like we won’t be seeing Samwell and Jorah in Oldtown or The Hound and Beric Dondarrion.
“The Spoils of War” was directed by Matt Shakman, his first time directing an episode of the HBO hit.
