Abraham Parnes, a 43-year-old man accused of performing a lewd act during a showing of the children’s movie “The Emoji Movie” on July 28, has been identified by police.
Howell, New Jersey police say that Parnes, 43, turned himself in on the evening of Wednesday, August 4, an anonymous tip led authorities to his identification.
According to a woman at the Xscape movie theater on Route 9 in Howell, New Jersey, Parnes was there with his hands down his pants, which were unbuttoned and unzipped. He was sitting in the back row of the movie theatre.
The unidentified woman reported Parnes to the theater’s manager, who asked Parnes to leave. According to police, Parnes is a resident of Lakewood and Brooklyn, and was charged with lewdness.
