It finally happened. After seven long, winding, brutal and beautiful seasons of Game Of Thrones, Jon Snow, the King in the North, finally met Daenerys Targaryen, the Mother of Dragons.
By far the two biggest and most important characters in the show, “The Queen’s Justice” marked the first time the two had shared a scene together, and it didn’t start as smoothly as everyone hoped.
Unbeknownst to Jon, Daenerys invited him south to Dragonstone with the expectation that he bend the knee and pledge his allegiance. However, not only was Jon unaware of her expectations, but he defied that when he found out anyway.
Now, while Daenerys ultimately met Jon half way by allowing him to mine for dragon glass, her attitude is what’s most concerning. Daenerys seems hell bent on becoming Queen just for the sake of becoming Queen, which sure sounds a lot like her Mad King of a father.
Whether or not this is just a misdirection is yet to be seen, but make no mistake of it, the Game Of Thrones writers are undoubtedly hitting at a Mad Queen turn from Daenerys.
