via CNN:
Glioblastoma is a particularly aggressive tumor that forms in the tissue of the brain and spinal cord, according to the American Brain Tumor Association.
A pathologist was in the operating room during the procedure, a minimally invasive craniotomy with an eyebrow incision, said his doctor, who added that the surgery lasted about three to four hours. Post-surgical brain scans show the tissue causing concern has been completely removed.
According to a statement from McCain’s office, the Senator and former Presidential candidate is recovering “amazingly well.”
About John McCain
Simply put, Senator John McCain is one of the greatest Americans who ever lived.
In October 1967, while on a bombing mission over Hanoi, McCain was shot down, seriously injured, and captured by the North Vietnamese, where he was a prisoner of war until 1973.
In 1987, McCain was elected as a Senator in Arizona, a seat he has held in ever since. In 2008, he was the Republican party’s nominee for the Presidential election, eventually losing to Barack Obama.
