WWE World Champion Jinder Mahal kicks off SmackDown with the Punjabi Prison
Mahal’s music hits to start off tonight’s show. The WWE Champion walks down to the ring, along with the Singh Brothers. They enter cage one of the Punjabi Prison. The second bamboo cage of the prison descends down to the ring.
One of the Singh Brothers talks about the dangerous Punjabi Prison. Mahal tells everyone that they are no rules in this match. Jinder talks trash about Orton and this “hateful” country of America. Mahal starts speaking in his native language of Punjab to address “his people.”
Orton’s music hits. Here comes The Viper…
Randy thinks Mahal is either incredibly stupid or incredibly brave to want to step into a Punjabi Prison with The Viper. Orton walks down the aisle and scales the cage, with microphone in hand. Orton asks Mahal, “What are you going to do when he disgraces all 1.5 billion people of India this Sunday?”
Orton says he’ll leave Mahal’s jacked-up ass in the ring. Orton suggests that he’ll be high on top of the Punjabi Prison at Battleground, while Jinder will be looking up at a victorious viper. Randy’s music hits. He performs his signature arm pose as the audience cheers.
Jimmy Uso vs. Kofi Kingston
Both men lock it up. Kingston gains the upperhand and stomps Jimmy into the corner. Kofi sends Uso out of the ring. Kingston runs the ropes and looks like he’s about to perform a suicide dive. Kofi fakes the move, makes Uso flinch and then jumps out and takes him out. Kingston celebrates with his men, and then throws Jimmy back in the ring.
Kofi controls Uso during the commercial break. Kingston knocks Jimmy back out of the ring. Uso gives Xavier Woods a dirty look. Kofi jumps out of the ring, taking out Jimmy. Kingston jumps up on the ring apron and tries to kick Jimmy’s head off. But Uso pulls his leg, knocking Kofi to the floor.
Jimmy takes control, as he picks apart Kington in the ring. Uso traps Kofi in a headlock. Kingston fights out, but Jimmy kills his momentum. Uso reapplies the headlock, but Kingston fights out again. A kick to the face put Kofi back in his place in the Usos Penitentiary.
Uso charges towards Kingston, but gets caught with two feet to the chest. Kofi got a whole new burst of energy, taking Jimmy out with dropkicks. Kingston hits a Boom Drop. Kofi attempts a Trouble in Paradise, but gets caught. Jimmy rams Kofi into the top turnbuckle and goes for the pin. 1…2…kick out!
Kofi tries to turn the tide, but gets kicked in the jaw. Jimmy props Kingston on the turnbuckle for a suplex. Kofi drops Uso off the top rope. Meanwhile, Jimmy’s brother Jey tries to distract Kofi. But Kingston jumps anyways and hits Jey with a cross-body. Jey uses Kofi’s momentum to flip over his opponent for the final pin.

Chad Gable Interview
Gable is absolutely shocked about Monday’s news. Who knew that Jason Jordan is the son of Kurt Angle? Chad Gable didn’t and he was his tag team partner for two years. Gable’s world has been turned upside down. There’s no more American Alpha. What does he do now?
Michael Kanellis vs. Sami Zayn
Sami Zayn controls the opening moments of this match-up. He fights Kanellis into the corner, throwing punch after punch into the head of Michael. Kanellis is dazed and rolls out of the ring. Zayn doesn’t give Michael a moment to breath. He kicks Kanellis in the face and sends him back in the ring.
Kanellis kicks Sami in the gut and attempts to turn the tide. But Sami quickly counters and hurls Kanellis out of the ring. Zayn sends Mike into the barricade.
Both men reenter the ring. But Michael pounces first. Kanellis is hitting a grounded Sami with a series of shots. Sami fights his way back to his feets and regains control. Zayn throws Kanellis into the turnbuckle.
Maria enters the ring and stands between her husband and Zayn. Maria leaves the ring. Mike capitalizes off of a distracted Sami with a hard right hand. Kanellis hits his finishing move. Zayn is done.

Cena makes a patriotic speech. No matter all the hardships this nation has went through, the American flag was still standing. After the destruction of Pearl Harbor and 9/11, the American soldiers responded in a strong way, kicked ass, and the American Flag stood tall. Those colors don’t run because those colors kick ass.
But then out of nowhere, Rusev attacks Cena from behind. Rusev locks John in the Accolade submission hold until Cena passes out. Rusev retrieves the Bulgarian flag from the top turnbuckle and waves it proudly.
Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch
Becky surprises Charlotte, and takes control during the early moments of this match-up. Lynch takes the fight to The Queen. But Charlotte turns the tide during the break and stretches Becky’s arms in a submission hold. Becky manages to fight out, but The Queen kills her momentum.
Charlotte looks strong, but Becky has the luck of the Irish on her side. Becky turns the tide, striking Charlotte and taking The Queen down outside the ring.
Both women returns to the ring, and Charlotte gains higher ground first. Charlotte takes the fight to Becky, hitting her in the head with a hard knee. Charlotte goes for the Figure Eight, bu Becky escapes.
Becky goes after Charlotte like a bolt of lightning. Lynch hits the Becksploder on Charlotte. Becky is really hyped. She charges toward Charlotte, knocking her down with the Fire Arm. Becky goes for the cover. 1…2…kick out!
Lynch attempts a DisArmHer on Charlotte, but The Queen reverses. Charlotte attempts a Natural Selection, but Lynch tries to trap in a DisArmHer. Charlotte counters and hits a big boot. The Queen goes for the cover. 1..2…kick out.
Charlotte ascends the top rope and attempts a moonsault. Becky moves out of the way. Lynch traps Charlotte in the DisArmHer. The Queen tries everything she can to escape, but Becky has her trapped. Charlotte taps.
Becky Lynch defeats Charlotte Flair via submission
Post-Match: Charlotte shakes Becky’s hand. Tamina’s theme song hits. Lana and Tamina enter the arena. Natalya attacks Becky and Charlotte from behind. The Queen fights Nattie. But Tamina and Lana enter the ring to take out Charlotte and Becky. But tensions get high and Nattie and Tamina fight. There also appears to be a rift between Tamina and Lana. Each lady is tensely anticipating Sunday’s #1 contender fatal-five way match at Battleground.
The Fashion X-Files
Shinsuke Nakamura & AJ Styles vs. Kevin Owens & Baron Corbin
Baron Corbin attacks Shinsuke Nakamura during his entrance. Nakamura and Corbin brawls. Kevin Owens emerges from the back and attacks Shinsuke. AJ Styles runs up the ramp and attacks Owens. Nakamura and Styles gain the upper-hand as we go to the commercial break.
