On July 18, 2004, Entourage debuted on HBO, and despite the fact that it’s been 13 years since the show’s premiere, legions of fans are still quoting the show as if it just went off the air last week.
But more than quoting Entoruage, people really quote Ari Gold.
Ari Gold was far and away the highlight of the eight-season long show. Without Jeremy Piven’s portrayal of the raving lunatic of a Hollywood agent, Entourage arguably doesn’t make it out of its first season. Piven’s Gold was truly a scene stealer in every sense of the word.
So, in honor of the 13th anniversary of Entourage, we thought it was only right that we remember the lone reason the show was ever successful in the first place: Ari Gold.
