Roger Federer made history today, beating Marin Cilic 6-3, 6-1, 6-4 in the finals to win Wimbledon for the eighth time. He now holds the record for most men’s singles titles at Wimbledon, as he broke his tie with seven-time winners Pete Sampras (Open Era) and William Renshaw (Amateur Era). According to ESPN, he also became the oldest player to ever win Wimbledon.

Federer was absolutely dominant throughout the whole tournament, as he didn’t lose a single set. He became the first man to pull off this amazing feat at Wimbledon since Bjorn Borg in 1976.

At 35-years-old, Federer continues to defy conventional expectations with his unreal play. In 2017, he’s now won both Wimbledon and the Australian Open, giving him a whopping 19 Grand Slam singles titles for his career. That insane number is the all-time record for a male tennis player, and it’s extremely hard to imagine somebody being able to top it.
