A little while back, the domain name ‘http://kidrockforsenate.com’ popped up on the Internet, naturally sending the Twitterverse into a tizzy.
With Donald Trump already serving as President and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson teasing a future run, everyone felt that it was well within the realm of possibility that Kid Rock — known for hits such as ‘Bawitdaba’ and ‘Cowboy’– would actually be running for Senate.
However, other than the domain name, there was no real definitive word on whether or not the American Bad Ass was actually running for Senate.
Until now.

While the actual substance behind Kid Rock For Senate is still up in the air — The AV Club even points out that the “buy now” button leads to the Warner Bros. records website — there is a series of t-shirts, hats, yard signs, and stickers that you can buy and wear around to support the outspoken rocker in his search for political superiority:
Now these selections pale in comparison to the normal offerings on Rock’s online store. If you don’t want to buy his 2018 campaign shirt, you can buy his God, Guns, And Trump shirt or his map of the U.S. that labels those pesky blue states as “Dumbf*ckistan.” This could just mean he’s in it to sell merchandise to his fan base, but it could also mean you’re helping to fund his run against Michigan senator Debbie Stabe in the mid-term elections.
The site is pretty bare bones as it is, but it does feature a fine selection of Rock’s greatest hits modified to be political slogans. There are no less than 5 variations on “party” and then a few takes on lines from “Bawitdaba”:
And if you’re surprised by this, then you just haven’t been paying attention to the Western World the last couple of years.
It’s 2017, people, anything is possible … even if you don’t want it to be.
