At least three people have been killed in an active shooter situation in Gardendale, Alabama.
Multiple police agencies are headed to Gardendale as officers search for a possible active shooter. The incident happened at a home in the 4100 block of Willow Bend Drive at the Peachtree Crossings mobile park home.

The mayor of Gardendale that three people were killed in the shooting. Police believe the shooting was a domestic related incident. The male suspect, armed with a handgun, fled into the woods after the shooting.
Gardendale police, Kimberly police, and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office are on the scene, forming a perimeter.
The Gardendale Police Department released the following statement around 9:30 AM:
“Gardendale Police Department is working an active shooter situation at Glenn Chapel Rd. and Willow Bend Dr. We ask that all citizens in this the Peach Tree community shelter in place. More information to follow.”
The suspect is a 52-year-old male with blonde hair, blue eyes and was wearing a camo t-shirt and blue jeans.
A statement from the Gardendale Police Department has asked residents to take shelter in place.
