The Battle of Brisbane is on! The legendary Manny Pacquiao is set to go head-to-head with the undefeated underdog Jeff Horn. Pacquiao is the seasoned veteran, while Horn is that local boy from Australia who packs a mean punch, matte. Twelve rounds are scheduled, let’s see how long it these two titans will fight it out…

This might be the biggest boxing event in Australia’s histoy.

Pacquiao is putting his Welterweight Championship on the line against Horn. Jeff Horn has 16 wins under his belt, and has yet to be defeated in his boxing career that has spanned over four years. Meanwhile, Pacquiao made his professional debut in 1995 at the age of 16. The veteran has won 59 fights and 38 by knockout. He has only lost six fights in a career that has spanned more than two decades.

Over 55 thousand people are in attendance in today’s event in the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane Australia.

IBF super flyweight title: Jerwin Ancajas vs Teiru Kinoshita

Ancajas is an absolute beast. He nailed over a hundred relentless shots on his opponent. Kinoshita tried hard, but Ancajas was just laying into him with wrecking ball lefts and rights. Kinoshita’s eye was completely swollen shut by the seventh round. Ancajas, like a wild animal, pounces on his prey with more shots than a machine gun. Kinoshita drops to his knees after a series of blows. The referee calls off the fight.

Jerwin Ancajas defeats Teriruo Kinoshita by knockout in the 7th round. Ancajas retains his IBF super flyweight title.


WBO welterweight title: Manny Pacquiao vs Jeff Horn

Horn clearly won the first round, taking the fight hard to his older opponent. Horn is kicking serious ass. Pacquiao is able to come back, but Horn is way too quick and vicious.

But Manny has a kickass comeback. Pacquiao has connected 56 hits, while Horn has hit 27.

Jeff hits a series of fast shots, but Pacquiao is resilient and hits a stiff left hand. Horn is tough, but Paquiao can see the holes in his offense.

Manny gets busted open in the the 6th round by his hairline. Earlier in the fight, Horn received a cut around his right eye.

In the seventh round, color commentator Teddy updated his scoreboard putting Pacquiao ahead of Horn 59-55. He prefers Manny’s “clean shots.”

More blood is streaming down from Pacquaio’s head. But Manny returns to fight nevertheless. Jeff comes in like a great ball of fire. Horn is going in for the kill, but Pacquiao won’t give up so easily. Pacquiao’s head is crimson red, but he’s still fighting his heart out.

Paquaio strikes, and Horns slips. The referee doesn’t rule it a knockdown. Both men are easily match, exchanging shots.

Manny starts off the 9th round as he lunges with a right hand. Pacquaio is picking up the pace a lot, trying to take down Horn with a series of big shots. The color commentator Teddy thinks that Horn is evaporating under the Australian sun. Pacquaio is hitting punch after punch, and Horn is busted wide open. Horn is an ugly mess, but is still fighting. His face is swollen and bloody, but he’s not going to give up just yet.

The referee wants to stop the fight, but Horn begs for another chance. Jeff hits first and they tangle up. The ref breaks them up again and again. Horn makes an amazing comeback, decisively winning round 10.

The fight is evenly matched. Jeff is a mess, but he fought to the bloody end.
