Samsung 837 kicked summer off the right way – with guest appearances from the executive producer of the Real Housewives franchise Andy Cohen, alongside Jeremy Jauncy, the founder of the Beautiful Destinations Instagram account, home to 9.4M (and counting!) followers. The two discussed Samsung’s newest addition to its ever-growing phone family – the Galaxy s8 and s8+, as well as some of its mind-blowing features and water resistant design – tailor-made for summer.
Aside from the techy stuff, Cohen talked about how his selfie game has improved dramatically thanks to this phone’s camera… Could this be a game changer for our selfie-obsessed generation? Who knows, but we need to see those selfies, Andy. After all, pics or it didn’t happen, right?
Jauncy, who has created somewhat of an empire of travel-based accounts on Instagram, advised Cohen that lighting makes or breaks a photo.
The launch event took place in the heart of the Meatpacking District in Samsung’s building on Washington Street.
Country star Sam Hunt also made an appearance. Hunt performed some of his hits and rocked the stage not once, but twice! Hunt performed songs from his 2014 album Montevallo, as well as his newest song, “Body Like A Back Road,” which got the crowd dancing.
This event is not a one-time thing, either. In fact, Samsung 837 is hosting a weekly concert series ALL SUMMER LONG, which will include intimate concerts, sunset screenings, and rooftop access.
Their summer lineup kicked off on June 29 and goes until Labor Day weekend, with the dates as follows: July 13, 20, 27 and August 3, 10, 17, 31. The lineup names are due to be released closer to each event’s date, so keep your eyes peeled.
