Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has long been known for his verbal spats and legendary insults. The People’s Champ can talk smack like no one else in the wrestling ring or on the big screen. But when Rocky boy stepped up to the plate on Twitter this Wednesday, the Hollywood star struck out. The Rock tried to tell some Twitter user what to do, and that guy hit back with a Tweet that put Dwayne in his place.
But who brought the heat to the Brahma Bull on Twitter? That impressive feat goes to the Olly Gibbs, a designer at Empire Magazine, who showed The People’s champ who’s boss. This beef began when Gibbs sent out a Tweet noting the similarities between the upcoming Jumanji sequel and the 2003 film The Rundown. What’s the similarity. Well, they shared the same exact tagline of “Welcome to the Jungle.”
This evoked the wrath of The Rock…
The Rock hit back on Twitter, even going as far as to question Gibb’s manhood for his use of a “non-masculine emoji.” The People’s Champ tweeted, “Haha buddy, juuuuust see the movie first then make the comparison. And for f*cks sakes stop using the non masculine 🤔 emoji.”
Olly Gibbs was very quick with the Rundown–Jumanji comparison, as the trailer for this stand-alone sequel came out the very day Gibby boy sent out his Tweet. But is Gibbs quick enough to counter a jab from The Rock? You’d be surprised…
The Rock just got pwned! Dwayne may be cocky, but even The People’s Champ knows when he has met his match…
It looks like Olly and The Rock have become legit trash-talking buddies as a result of this encounter.
Still a better love story than Roman Reigns winning the Royal Rumble…
