The Dockside shopping center in Chatham, England on lockdown after a man reportedly slit a woman’s throat in the parking lot.

Ten police cars along with paramedics and firefighters attended the scee at the Dockside outlet centre in Chatham, Kent. Witnesses described a man attacking a woman and “slitting her throat” in front of terrified shoppers.
Reports state that a man in a white vest and “covered in blood” being put in a police car in handcuffs. The victim is reported to have been the man’s girlfriend, witnesses said.
Eyewitnesses say that a man covered in blood was arrested and taken into police custody.
There is no word on the condition on the victim or the suspect. Police officers, firefighters, forensic teams, and ambulances all showed up to the scene.
A spokesman for the Kent Police Department released the following statement:
“Kent Police is currently attending the dockside area, Maritime Way in Chatham following a report of a serious assault. Officers were called at 11.03am on Thursday 29 June 2017 following reports a woman had been injured. A man has been arrested at the scene in connection with the incident. Officers do not believe there to be any further threat to the public. Officers remain at the scene carrying out enquiries.”
