VidCon gathers together beloved online content creators with their fans and has gained international attention from its growing relevance. YouTubers, videographers, and many more congregated in Anaheim, California to discuss digital content that’s quickly morphing online entertainment. Fans flock to see their favorite YouTubers during a host of meet-and-greets, Q&As, live performances, panels and talks. Started by Hank and John Green, creators of the vlogbrothers channel, the convention has grown to be one of the largest of its kind.

See the full VidCon US 2017 schedule. The first event started with a reception pre-party with NBC News Digital at 5:oo p.m. PST on June 21st and extended all the way until the very end of Disney Day, which wrapped up at 11:59 p.m. PST on June 25th.
June 21
The Awesomeness Festival Stage featured stars Leroy Sanchez, Tanner Patrick, Julia Nunes, Alli Fitz and Los 5 on stage for live performances from the five big YouTube names to kick off the first day’s event.
Jason Derulo visited VidCon with the likes of Grace Vanderwaal and Dytto, Poppin’ John, Fik-shun, Tyler Oakley, Joey Graceffa, Todrick Hall, and Rosanna Pansino for YouTube Onstage. Among the important highlights, Jason debuted his new song, “Swalla,” during his appearance on-stage.
We also heard an inspirational track from the young artist Grace Vanderwaal, called “Moonlight.
June 22
The expo halls opened for the first time today, which was chock full of hundreds of booths and famous personalities from across the content creation industry. Among them were Phillip DeFranco, NBC News, Nickelodeon, Flipagram, Canon and Indi.
There were several important seminars, panels, live gaming sessions and keynote speakers on the first day today. OMGitsFireFoxx had a 30-minute live gaming experience she hosted herself, NerdFighteria hosted a “Gathering of the Nerdfighters” event with John and Hank Green, Chris Marshall of ZEFR talked about maximizing video performance across platforms, fomer SourceFed staff hosted a Q&A session and YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki revealed new updates to the YouTube community with Rhett & Link from “Good Mythical Morning.”
Markiplier and Vsauce both hosted a Q&A, John welcomed the visitors and viewers at home to VidCon, and a cosplay contest at the end of the night made rifts throughout the expo, with stars like iHasCupquake and Strawburry17 suiting up in awesome costumes!
June 23rd
Several keynote speakers showed up today, including Fidji Simo, head of video, news and advertising product and engineering at Facebook, Andrew Sugerman, executive vice president of content and media at Disney, Jack Conte, co-founder of Patreon, several esports influencers including VP of Pro Gaming at ESL Michal Blicharz, and Ashu Garg, general partner of Foundation Capital. We also saw an interview with Casey Neistat and Ari Fitz.
Vidcon hosted a Q&A with Jenna Marbles and Swoozie, a networking event with famous Minecrafters and a seminar on the future of Facebook video.
June 24
Today’s sessions were more geared towards creators and gamers rather than industry influencers. CaptainSparklez played live games on the gaming stage, creators had the opportunity to engage in several sessions and seminars on how to become successful at a variety of different subjects, such as being a musician or a gamer, Rhett and Link hosted a live “Ear Biscuits” podcast, a Beauty 101 panel featuring Chelsea Crocket, Kandee Johnson, Wengie, Desi Perkins and Roy Peters and one about how it felt to have videos go viral.
There was also a creator track party at 6 p.m. just for creator and industry pass holders and a Twix Prom at the very end.
June 25
The last day was completely dedicated to Disney’s “Disney Day,” where VidCon stars and fans from all backgrounds flooded Disneyland & Carolina Adventure in Paradise Park.
Participants had to buy an additional ticket to join in the Disney Day festivities, but it looked like a great deal of fun!
