King’s Cross Station in London, England, has been evacuated due to a fire at the underground portion of the rail station.

What Happened?

A fire alert at King’s Cross St. Pancras station has prompted an evacuation of the train station.

According to social media posts from witnesses, there is a fire under a train. Reports are also appearing that Euston station has also been evacuated, though this remains unconfirmed.

One user said: “Heard a man shouting “help! Help!” @ kings cross station picadilly line. Station was evacuated and shut.”

A Transport for London spokesman has confirmed “London Fire Brigade are attending a fire alert.” No injuries have been reported.

Great Northern‏ tweeted at 7:15 P.M. to say their rail services were starting to call at Kings Cross after being cancelled for short period since the alert.

The incident, which happened at 6:45 P.M., has caused severe delays on the London Underground’s Piccadilly line.

No other details were immediately available.
