Four days after the passing of Otto Warmbier, North Korea has broken it’s silence to claim that they did not torture the 22-year-old American student who they sentenced to 15 years of hard labor.

After South Korean officials said North Korea was responsible for Warmbier’s passing and United States President Donald Trump called them’a total disgrace’, the hermit state broke their silence on the incident.

Through its state-run news agency, KCNA, a government source as said: ‘Our relevant agencies treat all criminals in accordance with domestic laws and international standards and Warmbier was not an exception.’

Warmbier, just 22-years-old, died in a Cincinnati hospital on Monday, June 19, after North Korea released him just a year into his sentence for what they called humanitarian reasons.
